Uefa Cup quarter-finals:

Forgot about our local rivals Man city and the Uefa Cup quater finals:
Hamburg v Manchester City
Paris SG v Dynamo Kiev
Shakhtar Donetsk v Marseilles
Werder Bremen v Udinese

I hate media

Oh my Lord. Not again.

Rumours are fresh that Christiano Ronaldo will be moving to Real Madrid in the summer along with Kaka. Although AC Milan have moved in and said this is NOT happening and 'Kaka is not for sale. Its still annoying.

I would just like to say to Real Madrid, ' Ronaldo is not for sale.' Fullstop.

Champions League Draw

Arsenal v. Villa Real

Liverpool V Chelsea

Manchester United v Porto

Barcalona v Bayern Munich

Arsenal will fancy their chances against Villa.

So will Chelsea as they knocked out Liverpool at the semi finals last season. And i don't say this often but i wish the Blue's all the luck in the world. I hope they thrash liverpool so far away that Liverpool FC will be no more :) But thats just me.

United counted ask for a better draw as they face the portugese underdogs. They have a lot of portugese influence so known their football.

And Barca's form should get them through.
The Semi finals plan out as follows:
Manchester Unitd or Porto v Arsenal or Villa Real
Liverpool or Chelsea v Barcelona or Bayern Munich

Benitez and his new deal.

Ha this is absolutely ridiculous.

Just because Liverpool thrashed Real Madrid and Manchester have the board gone mad.

The man does not know what he's doing. He bought Keane and let him go without hardly giving him no play time. Players like Pennant went too because Benitez failed to rotate his squad successfully. His side have more than likely lost their title chance because of the man, but because he's won his two last games he has been hailed great again.

Well i'm not complaining, the longer he stays the longer Liverpool fail to win any silverware and that is one less team for United to worry about.

Thanks Benitez. You are THE man!

Vidic faces two match ban

My sexy Serbian is out for two games the FA confirmed today for his red card against Liverpool (scum).

Its a two match ban because if you go back to Anfeild eariler on in the season, he was also sent off.

He'll miss our tie against Fulham on Saturday and then Villa the following week. Kind of worried about Villa but our team is deep enough to handle it I think.

I would normally be mad but he's so sexy when he's mad so i let him off :)

Khan sees off Barrera

Manchester was firing on Saturday and it wasn't just because of the football.

For some reason Amir Khan's fights always get loads of hype and time after time i fail to understand why. He's not a great boxer, he just has rubbish opponents.

But Marc Antonio Barrera is a legend. And I hoped he would put him back in his place.

A head clash in the first round left Barrera with a cut above his forehead from which blood continued to poor and Khan continued to dominate.

Victory was taken in the 5th round by a technical decision.

Barrera says he was butted.

Khan says he proved a point.

Even if Khan was to be right i would still say he's wrong.

I'd call for a rematch.

I refuse to talk about today.

First things first; Liverpool fans don't talk to me for two weeks. I'm.. erm.. reflecting on life.

Second thing is, WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED! I wasn't cocky but not in a million years did i see that one coming. By Liverpool of all teams. AND at home.

It was a bad day for United fans across the world.

Fergerson refused to talk to Sky Sports and following in Daddy's footsteps, this is as much as i'm willing to say about the game.

I am now going to borrow Will Smith's memory thing from Men In Black and erase 14th of March from my memory forever.

*Zaaaaaaaap*

14th of March? A boring day I spent in bed. :)

Attack allegations

Inter Milan Mourinho has been accused of hitting out at a fan after his 2-0 defeat at Old Traford yesterday.

Inter have denied the allegations

United And Arsenal make it 4/4

Both Manchester United and Arsenal won their second legs to take them to the quater finals of the Champions league.
Manchester United 2 - 0 Inter Milan (vidic,4, Ronaldo 49)
Forget about Fegerson's poor record against Jose Mourinho, we won where it counted and booked ourself into the final 8.
Vidic headed in the first goal from a Gigg's corner just four minutes into the game and four minitues after the interval Ronaldo made it 2-0 from a header also.
It wasn't plain sailing for United as Inter threatens many times. Too be honest we were lucky as our preformance was nowhere near as good as the first leg.
But its getting through thats counts. You can't always be amazing, its hard work being Champions and sometimes we just got to win ugly.
Roma 1 - 0 Arsenal ( 1-1 Agg) (Juan 10) Arsenal win 7-6 on penalties.
Juan levelled Roma in aggregate in the early minutes of the first half. However they failed to extend this and Arsenal failed to score.
The game was taken to extra time; no goal from either side.
Eduardo was first up and his effort was saved by Doni.
Vucinic stabbed his straight at Almunia three kicks later.

Walcott, Baptista, Nasri and Denilson all scored.
Totti stepped up to send the shoot-out into sudden death at 4-4.

Toure coolly dispatched his effort, as did Sagna and then John Arne Riise for Roma.
It was 6-6 and Diaby's turn who got it right.
the pressure must of got to Tonetto as he blazed the ball over the goal taking Arsenal through

Van the Man Interview

Edwin Van Der Sar has been in the sports headlines recently due to his outstanding form. Hes gone 14 league games without conceding a goal which has smashed 3 records; Premier league, Football League and British League records.
I still remember his amazing preformance against Chelsea in the Champions League finals last season.
He was interviewed by Sky Sports ahead of United second leg against Inter.
It's a great interview so check it out at :

Champions League Second Legs.

Liverpool 4- 0 Real Madrid (5-0 Agg) Torres 16, Gerrard 28(pen),47 ,Dossena 88
I hate Liverpool FC with a passion but I have nothing but praise for the side after they anialted Real Madrid last night at Anfield. They sent Out Madrid, 9 time winners crashing out of the Champions league with the concept of pace and power drilled in to their minds from the offset. And when liverpool do that no one stands a chance. To be frank Real Madrid were totally outplayed and outclassed by the Reds.
Juventus 2 - 2 Chelsea (2-3 Agg) Iaquinta 19 Del Piero 74(pen) Chiellini s/o 71/ Essien 45 Drogba 83 (2-3 Agg)
It was a nerving night for the blue's which nearly saw Juventus through to the final 8 if it wasn't for the efforts of Micheal Essien and Dider Drogba.
Chelsea were away at Stadio Olimpico and faced a huge battle. As the Italian fasion goes Juve kicked off to an amazing game and a number of corners put the heat on Chelsea. However they were able to maintain defence until the 19th minute with a goal from Iaquinta.
Juventus remained dominant but the Blue's were able to scrap through it with the help of 'The Drog'
(video's of goals up soon)

Funky Adverts

I've been obsessed with the Addidas advert since its come out and it just brings to mind a few of my favourites.
The amount of celebs in the video makes this ad totally rock. Her's the full length version:

Thunderbirds are go! used to love Thunderbirds. But this shows them in a whole new light.

This Ad was banned.. Not sure why, could be the language... Hmmm

"This is It" for Jacko

The King of pop last week announced that "This is it. I just want to say that these will be my final show performances in London."The star made a five minute address to his screaming fans :

The demand to see this legend shows why he remains the King of Pop. Check out
http://www.seatwave.com/ for tickets. They will probably sell out within seconds but people may end up selling them.

Weekend Update

Arsenal 3 - 0 Burnley
Arsenal are slowly regaining that magic they've been missing for so long. Ok so its not lifted their rank in the Premier ship but they whole mood surrounding Arsenal has been lifted and I think Gooners all around put it down to one man; Eduardo.
He's been out for a year or so but he's back with double the fight and could be te difference between 4th and 5th place for them. He has certainly kept their FA hopes alive and will look to play a major role in The Champions League.

Everton 2 - 1 Middlesbrough
Goals from Fellaini and Saha has taken Everton to The FA Cup Semi finals facing Manchester United. They were 1-0 down at the end of the first back.

Fulham v. Manchester United

Manchester United 4 - 0 Fulham (Tevez 20 35, Rooney 50, J.S Park 81)
United were able to march on with their mission to win the big 5 when they slaughtered Fulham 4-0 on Saturday on their FA Cup campaign.
Tevez took the lead headering in the ball from a corner taken by Rooney.
But it was Tevez' second goal which was a killer on the 35th minute. Taking the ball from the half way line he made a run to the edge of the Fulahm box were hit struck an almighty blow which was near impossible to stop.
Rooney went on to score 5 minutes after the re-start when he curled the ball into the bottom corner and Park made it 4 9 minutes before the end.

Cricket and Politics just do not mix

I may be a football person but as a memory of my late uncle I try to keep up with the cicket. Its an alright sport in terms of major competitions such as World Cups and such but for me the pace is a little slow.
The recent attacks in Pakistan however have totally horrified me. The Sri LAnkan team came into the country as guests and to be fired at is totally unaaceptable.
The conflict between the people and with other countries has no place in cricket, as if many can remember, it is a GENTLEMANS sport.

The big Three keep United on their Toes

Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea all won their games last night giving Chelsea and Liverpool a glimmer of hope in their title chances and Arsenal some hope of staying in the top four to qualify for the champions league.
Liverpool were at home to Sunderland and finished the game 2-0 with goals from Ngog and Benayoun closing the gap on United to 7 points (with United still having two games in hand)Cant find no clips but i've found a link. http://liverpool-football-highlight.blogspot.com/
Chelsea beat Portsmouth 1-0 with a goal from Drogba and Hiddink seems to be doing a decent job and taking the role of manager rather well considering he's only temporary.
Arsenal were away too West Brom and killed them off 3-1 with Bentner being the Hero scoring 2 out of 3 goals.
A good night for the big teams but i'm sure Fergerson would of hoped for slip ups.

2 down 3 to go.

Manchester United have taken the Carling Cup title from defenders Tottenham Hotspur. It was a game of deadlock really. United created many chances but failed to score and Tottenham threatened many times but still... no goal.

It went to extra time where again both sides failed to score with fatigue showing.

So..

Penalties would decide.

I apologise for the foreign language but all that matters is who puts the balls in the back of the net and who doesn't.

A great watch for United Fans.

Half way through the season and this is United's second title. Back in December they beat LDU Quito 1-0 in the Fifa Club World Club finals.

There is much talk of United scooping all the silverware that is up for grabs. Its a tough order but its not impossible and United seem to be going the right way about it.

Thanks Liverpool.. Title is now United to lose!

It was a real shame the Liverpool game was not on TV as it would of made a great watch as they lost to Middlesborough.

1-0 down by an own goal by Alonso left them chasing but the 2nd just spelt O-V-E-R in more ways than one. Not only the game but also their chances of winning the title.

United have a game in hand as they played Totenham in the Carling Cup final on Sunday, so if united were to win their game in hand their would have a 10 point lead. Not bad ey, not bad at all.

Elsewhere on Tuesday Night..

Arsenal 1-0 Roma (Van Persie 37 pen)
Arsenal managed to edge past Roma with a penaty just before the end of the first half.
The second half showed a more frustrated Arsenal as they continued to apply pressue but failed to score with attempts from Nicklas Bendtner and Emmanuel Eboue.

Athletico Madrid 2-2 FC Porto (Maxi 4, Forlan 45/ Lopez 22,72)

I had this game recorded *thank the lord for sky plus* it was an amazing game with so much pace. Athletico went ahead on two occasion but Porto were able to level on goals.

This leaves Madrid a little vunerable as they've conceded two away goals. They'll have to both score and not concede any more goals as it will make things awefully difficult for them.

Lyon 1-1 Barcelona : (Juninho 7, Henry 67)

Lyon took the lead in the 7th minute but title favourites grabbed a draw and all curcial away goal by Henry in the 67th minute.

Barca had a poor first half and there were missed chances from both sides from the likes of Benzema and Eto'o.

United 0 - 0 Inter

How damn frustrating was Tuesday night for United fans. After dominated the first half and failing to materialise their chances they were held at 0-0 at San Siro. It was a real shame because we deserved to win. The biggest chance in the game probably came from Ryan Giggs, but was denied by Ceaser.

Inter left Van Der Sar as a bystander as they only threatened to score twice despite picking up their game after the interval. So it's going to be settled at Old Trafford which is an advantage for us but it would of made our job much easier if we had got that all crucial away goal.

If Inter play how they did on Tuesday we should have no problem beating them as Vidic will have return and hopefully most of the others who are injured.

Manchester United V. Inter Millan

Its the showdown tonight as Fergie takes on old foe Jose Mourinho in San siro. Its a shame really that the two teams are playing against each other, I would of loved to see them at the finals.

Anywayy checking the previews, defensively we are a bit screwed due to Vidic's suspension and Jonny Evans, Wes Brown, Garry Neville and Rafael da Silva injured, and John O'shea also not 100%.

United need to go out there tonight, defend for their life, and snatch a win because an away goal would prove priceless in the second leg at Old Trafford. The match is on ITV1 with kick off at 19:45. If you don't have access to the game via TV theres a great site to watch it on via net and streaming: http://www.justin.tv/. Its great and if one fails to work your sure to find another one.

I'm keeping everything crossed for my boys tonight!!

OOH AAHH CANTONA!

I don't believe in love but I scrap that when it comes to football. Absolutely obsessed with it. The first and last things I do in the day is check for any news updates and today I came across an article on sky sports which made my day ( the long one that it was).
One of Manchester United’s biggest heroes, Frenchman Eric Cantona, has expressed the desire to manage his former club. I couldn't think of a better successor of The Daddy Ferguson.. Well there's Jose Mourinho who's also said he would like to come back to the Premier league. Who knows, but whoever it is, has some big shoes to fill. Not that anyone sees Sir Alex spitting out his chewing gum and hanging up his managing shoes in the immediate future.

Here is a video to remind you of his immense talent and just a few of the tremendous goals he scored for United.

I wanna shoot cupid. . . .

Ok so its nearly a week since I was supposed to start this but the idea of creating a blog came across somewhat daunting so I have been waiting for something interesting to happen in a somewhat dreary life. So... ‘what’s happened?’ I reckon your all wondering... ahhh... ermm...? Nothing. BUT... Yesterday was a day of both importance and insignificance the same time. Valentine’s Day. I should have posted this yesterday but the mountains of cards and flowers left at my door took me near forever to sort out. (Sarcasm just in case you haven’t realised.)

Call it cynicism but I despise the person who came up with such a ridiculous idea (St Valentine if you weren’t already dead I’d be looking for you.) So, Firstly, a question for those who say they believe in this love stuff. Let me ask you something... if love is real, why do you need a day in the calendar as a stamp to verify your ‘significant other’ truly cares? I’ve seen the tantrums thrown by women because their presents weren’t what they expected (platinum rings during the recession... be realistic girls). Then there are those who are single and ready... no. Wrong word... desperate... to have someone to mingle with on valentines; checking their emails every half hour for the much awaited anonymous greetings. What is the point if they’re anonymous? So what if you don’t have a valentine on February the 14th, its all hype isn’t it? ‘Cute’ teddy bears, heart shaped chocolate boxed, special offer bouquets of flowers, and reduced price jewellery for valentines, what in the name of Jebus (don’t want to be blasphemous) is all the fuss about exactly!

I think it’s about time for a revolution, led by yours truly.

All my single ladies *(starts doing Beyonce’s crazy dance moves)* lets rise against this rubbish. Unite and put a stop to this torture. Demand from the significant others to treat you with love and care and shower you with love every day. Not just 14th of February, it’s the least we deserve for putting up with their filthy habits, burping, farting, eating like carnivorous animals, and not noticing our attempted to keep them interested. It’s a tough life that’s why God gave us women ten times the patience in comparison to men and boy do men take it to its limits!
Ok I just read this back to myself and it seems like a bit of a rant so let me just put in my disclaimer: I cannot compensate any men whose women have decided to act on this blog (Girl Power!). However I will be happy to help and advice on gesture of love which may aid you in getting them back, just don’t expect it to be cheap. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Before I end this, I’ve got to single out one man; Jack tweed. I give him the benefit of the doubt over the whole Facebook single status palaver, and think it is overly romantic of him to propose to Miss Goody. At a time many would have stuck by just to stick by, he has gone one better and done his specie proud. (Chris Brown, take notes)
Anyways I should shut up and get back to writing my thank you notes to all my admirers. In the mean time i leave you with a cool lady who knows how we ladies should role, alongside a sexy Justin Timberlake in a leotard. Can't complain. :)
xXx
